Yes, they arrived quickly and safely, and they look great - thanks! I gave one to my husband for his birthday, and the other to my mother-in-law. She said "Oh, it looks so much like Joshua!" She didn't know it was actually a picture of our dog, Joshua, until I explained that I sent you the picture and you made a magnet out of it. She thought I just bought a magnet of a corgi because it looked like ours. :) I thought my husband might take his to work, but for now it's on our fridge, so it makes me smile each time I go into the kitchen.
Anyway, the product quality, shipping, etc. were great. The price seemed a little high, I decided to go ahead and order anyway, though, because I was looking for creative gift ideas for my husband when I happened to pick up your business card at Petpalooza a few weeks ago.

"I have been privileged to have Susan McAliley paint a picture of my beloved dog companion, Zoe. I had often seen Susan's work represented at art fairs in my area and had always been drawn to them - planning on, someday, having her paint Zoe for me. In late 2006, I lost my Zoe, to a sudden heart attack. Susan came to my house, listened carefully to my memories of Zoe, asked great questions, studied my photos and then, promised to deliver a painting to me in one year. Needless to say, the year seemed a long time to wait, but has it every been worth it! The painting was delivered right on schedule and was absolutely everything I had hoped for! Everyone comments on how wonderful her portrait is, and those that knew her always say "It looks exactly like her!" I have come to the place where I don't get so sad looking at her portrait any more, it mostly just makes me smile. Thanks again. Hope your business is going well.
One more thing - I just visited your new website and what a thrill to see Ruby there! The other portraits are wonderful too. Your new site is great very user friendly, and does a good job of showing what you do and what you are all about. I hope it brings you lots of new business. Michelle LOVED the painting! Her comment when she opened it was "Oh My God" -- and then I could see some tears welling up in her eyes. She said it was one of the nicest Christmas presents she'd ever received.
So again, a big thanks to you for getting it done in such a timely manner.
She took a couple of your cards to give to people she works with, and I've also handed out a few of them here at my office. So hopefully you'll get some calls or emails.
I'll probably be contacting you again (maybe for next Christmas) to do a painting of my new little grandchild (expected in June) and Jonas, the yellow lab. I will definitely keep in touch!

I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful job you did on the portrait of Ruby. You completely captured her essence, and when I pass by the portrait now hanging on the wall, it always causes me to stop for a second and stare at it, and I am filled with memories of the joy she brought to me. Sometimes it makes me sad too, but that's o.k. I know you put a lot of love into the portrait, and it shows.
I showed it to my mother yesterday, a woman who is not known for showing emotions, and when she saw it she had to turn away for a second to regain her composure and wipe away tears. She is interested in a portrait of her dog, and will try and get some good pictures of her soon.
